I've been to a lot of weddings (and I've been married before, but let's not mention that) so I've seen a lot of marriage celebrants and most fall into the whimsical, sing-songy voiced category where you know they are going home to their 12 cats.  David Emery smashes that stereotype. He's dynamic, respectful and hands down the best celebrant I have ever come across.

You were the perfect person to bring both passion and professionalism to the occasion.  You understood you had an important role, but didn’t want to be the centre of attention.  You were always available to guide us and meet us when we needed you.  You captured our feeling and sentiment, nothing was too much of an imposition and you had a smile from start to finish.  Your ideas worked supremely well and made the moment unique to us. We would recommend you to anyone looking for a celebrant who has a great sense of humour, a feel for the occasion and a genuine warmth for people.

My husband and I met Dave a couple of months before our wedding. He really got to know us as a couple, which reflected beautifully in our ceremony. Dave was personable, fun and such a joy to have at our wedding. He was professional, but also funny, having everyone laughing and crying at the same time. Dave was very accommodating and helpful when it came to organisng the flow of our ceremony. Having not done this before, we weren’t sure what to expect or what order to do things. Dave guided us through the process and made great suggestions for us. I can’t recommend him enough. He was brilliant! We certainly couldn’t imagine having anyone else marry us. Our ceremony was perfect.

We were so lucky to have David write & conduct our son’s Naming Day Ceremony. He listened to all our requests, took on board our family’s different religious backgrounds and had thoughtful suggestions. He created & delivered a ceremony that was meaningful, respectful & so beautifully moving. Thank you!
